We are offering a salary of ₱16,000 - ₱38,000 for this position for interested candidates. However, this salary range can be negotiated and changed if the candidate's credibility exceeds our expectations and for sure, the agreement is adjusted to the policies of our company's HRD. This position creates and maintains automated test suites. Test Engineers focus on building automation to test the product, prevent defects, and improve quality. They work with minimal supervision and have a solid understanding of the product’s business domain. In addition, they contribute to improvements in the overall quality assurance process.
Job Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of experience in software development
- Two (2) years of experience in automation (minimum)
- Experience with test framework and automation testing tools
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Good time management skills to plan and organize own work
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
Experience/Skills Requirement:
- Strong technical background in software development lifecycle
- Adept in standard test practices and methodologies
- SQL Scripting (e.g., MS SQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Robot Framework, Katalon, Selenium, etc.)
- Have used Test management and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, TestLink, TestRail, Rational, etc.)
- Experience in Python, Java, Javascript, or .Net is a plus
- Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Back-end testing
- Integration testing
- API Testing
- Mobile testing
- Accessibility Testing
- Desired:
- Performance and/or Load Testing
- Security Testing
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, in person or remote
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Contributes to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites.
- Works effectively to define testable user stories, especially acceptance criteria with Product Owners and stakeholders.
- Responsible for the creation, design, and execution of test strategies, including writing test plans, test cases and test scenarios.
- Evaluates and reports test results, test progress, and product quality.
- Responds to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving automated tests.
- Collaborates with developers to experiment and check on the software, identify risk areas, improve test strategies, and increase coverage of tests.
- Ensures proper use of automated testing tools and look for ways to improve processes.
- Acts as a resource for onboarding new team members.
