Job profile

The Senior Business Analyst will work as a liaison between stakeholders and the delivery team to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate requirements. Emphasis will be on business processes, policies, information systems and integration. The Senior Business Analyst should be able to identify business problems and opportunities and translate the stakeholder’s needs into understandable business requirements and may be required to validate that the business requirements are met in the final solution.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for providing documentation during the pre-initiation, planning, development, and testing phases of a project’s life cycle. The Senior Business Analyst is expected to develop the appropriate strategy to elicit, document project scope, objectives, level of effort estimates, business requirements, use cases, and test scenarios associated pre-projects and with the successful delivery of defined projects. Documents may include strategic assessments, scope, use cases, business cases, business requirements, test scenarios and business area analysis. Interface with staff developing strategy as technical advisor for new functionality, applications, releases, and upgrades. Define and document internal and external user interfaces and support system and data requirement clarification and definition. Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans. Work directly with and serve as the liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams. Assist in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

Knowledge of and experience with the business analysis tools and techniques as defined in the BABOK published by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA©) is preferred.

Reports to: Business Analysis Manager

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

1. Responsible for providing analysis on Human Development and Operational solutions

2. Performs analysis for implementation and support on interfaces associated with Human Development and Operational solutions

3. Ability to facilitate meetings and elicit requirements from stakeholders, subject matter experts and project sponsors.

4. Facilitate requirements prioritization based on business value.

5. Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.

6. Develop pre-project documents as necessary and documents to support the delivery of assigned projects.

7. Manage changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes and tools

8. Communicates the business needs to delivery and support teams effectively.

9. Assists business teams in identifying opportunities for system integration, optimization and process improvements, simplification and or standardization

10. Develop effective tools and processes to facilitate the exchange of information.

11. Assess complex processes, methods and tools, and recommend innovative alternatives and enhancements to business processes or system workflows.

12. Supports Quality Assurance in planning and executing test strategies as necessary.

13. All other tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

1. 5 to 7 years of solution management, process improvement or business analysis experience. Exposure in business analytics within Marketing Services is preferred.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in technology, business, finance, marketing or similar areas.
3. Advanced knowledge of MS Office with an emphasis on Excel and Visio.
4. Service management/Call Center experience preferred.
5. Experience with SDLC, Agile and waterfall methodologies.
6. Experience using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies.
7. Demonstrated ability to perform analysis, formulated conclusions and recommend action.
8. Demonstrates strong work ethic with an emphasis on team commitment, showing respect for others, acknowledge and build on others’ ideas, and support group decisions.
9. Proven ability to meet project deliverables and tight deadlines.
10. Must possess strong analytical, organizational and product management skills.
