EMAPTA is looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join its dynamic team!

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?

This role sits within the Internal Reporting team and is focused on revenue reconciliation, related month-end process, daily revenue queries and assisting the ad hoc tasks during the new revenue system FRE deployment phase. You also provide assist to the management report processing, journal posting and other various team tasks when required.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Revenue Accounting

·       Daily and weekly processing and reconciliation of car park revenues – verified and unverified transactions and manual data entries within reconciliation and posting tools, to ensure revenue is reconciled in an accurate and timely manner.

·       The revenue month-end process:

o  Completing revenue reconciliations verified and unverified transaction imports into general ledger.

o  Processing of revenue related journals and adjustments.

o  Carpark revenue review and reconciliation to collections and banking in F1 for the states allocated to.

o  Communicate outcomes to FP&A team and attend to any resulting revenue queries.

·        Responsible for carrying out allocated revenue balance sheet account reconciliations.

·       Assist with ongoing revenue reconciliation project deployment. Supporting testing, maintenance and identifying potential risks and/or enhancements required. Communicate with finance stakeholders on related system issues and actionable items.

·       Attending to internal and external revenue queries.

Managed Site Reporting

·       Responsible to produce a portfolio of managed site reports, arranging owner distribution settlement requests and responding to any associated queries (Australia and New Zealand).

·       Assist generate supplementary reports and carry out additional reconciliations to fulfil bespoke reporting requirements to owners.

·       Assist with coding interim payments and owner distributions.

·       Managed site carpark finalization process.

Other Accounting Responsibilities

·       Ad Hoc accounting tasks encountered.

·       Month-end tasks other than revenue as required.

·       Providing coverage and support to the team.

·       Taking the initiative and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset.

·       Maintaining process documentation and adherence to internal processes and controls requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any related course.

·       2-4 years+ experience in a relevant commercial accounting role.

·       Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

·       An understanding of how a large financial general ledger system operates.

·       High level computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications (especially MS Outlook and MS Excel).

·       Excellent attention to detail, a developed and demonstrable problem-solving ability and hands-on with tasks.

·       Ability to work flexibly, in particular around peak end of month close periods, to ensure deliverables are meet timely.
