Job Summary
Compliance of managed properties to BIR and other government agencies accurately and on time; Close-out of tax audits with minimal exposure; Provide advisories and assistance to managed properties to come up with best solution and response to external queries on timely manner; Proper maintenance of hard and soft copy of central mandatory documents and pertinent records including scanning and archiving. Be fully equipped with the new tax laws including rules and regulations.
Duties and responsibilities:
Compliance
· Attend trainings and seminars for tax updates and cascade to all department
· Ensure accurate and timely compliance to all government regulatory reports
· Handling of BIR tax audits including the recon procedures, analysis, and accurate preparation and submission of schedules/working papers in a timely manner
· Proper coordination with BIR examiner to finish all examination with minimal exposure
· Drafts reply to BIR audit/inquiries and other third party confirmations related to tax
· Conduct tax compliance internal audits and ensure resolution of findings.
Local Government Unit
· Monitor and ensure new and renewal of business permit application in timely manner; review accuracy of gross receipts declaration
· Monitor and ensure timely payment of Real Property Tax
· Maintenance of master data file including updating of tax rates based on local ordinance
· Resolution of issues and processing of queries and requests pertaining to local taxes
Archiving
· Recordkeeping of files and documents related to Tax Audit
· Centralized soft copy filing of BIR registration and mandatory returns, local permits, and local taxes
· Ensure implementation of tax saving measures
· All other related duties that may be assigned
Education
· Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
· Certified Public Accountant
Job qualifications and skills required
· With at least two years of relevant work experience
· Good interpersonal skills
· Experience in tax related position is an advantage
