PhiEco: Providing Solutions Phil. Ecology Systems Corp. (PhilEco) aims to provide solutions to the problems that pertain to the fragile ecosystem and the sustainability of life. It is envisioned to provide environmental services that will relieve the public’s fears of environmental degradation. It started to venture into this line of work with the implementation of the Smokey Mountain Development and Reclamation Project (SMDRP). It will be recalled that prior to SMDRP’s inception, Smokey Mountain was the country’s symbol of poverty and social state not to mention being an environmental disaster. Today, PhilECo is a major player in providing waste management solutions through the construction and operation of engineered sanitary landfills to cater for the needs of Local Governments.

History

THE COMPANY PhilEco is a member of R-II Builders Group of Companies initially intended to provide exclusive environmental services to R-II Builders, Inc.; it has ventured into servicing other companies since then. Its primary purpose is to engage in the business of providing waste management facilities and services including, but not limited to landfill rehabilitation, garbage remediation, composting and recycling facilities, using modern and tested technology in the field of waste management and environmental protection, as well as providing all other facilities and services necessary and incidental to the environmental services. Through the years, it has been involved in environmental consultancy and supervision primarily for its mother company, R-II Builders, Inc., in undertaking the Smokey Mountain Development and Reclamation Project (SMDRP) in Vitas, Tondo, Manila.
